About
Norway based visual artist EUNJU KANG EUNJU is originally from South Korea.
EUNJU works within a broad range of media - ceramics, sculptures, drawings - and with multi-faceted materials and techniques. Her sources of inspiration stem from memories of everyday life, a deep appreciation for folk art and culture, and a mindful observation of her surroundings. In her daily practice, Eunju explores the thematic threads by engaging identity, place, and the inherent qualities of her chosen materials and techniques.
Eunju has received several artist grants from both Norway and South Korea. Her works has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including at Kunstnerforbundet (Norway), Den Frie Udstillingsbygning (Denmark), and the Westerwald Ceramic Museum (Germany). They are also part of collections such as KOCEF – Korea Ceramic Foundation (South Korea), Wergelandshaugen (Norway), and the Arctic Ceramic Centre (Finland).
